Both right tackle Brian O’Neill (ankle) and right guard Ed Ingram (shoulder) have been ruled out.
DETROIT — After ruling out right tackle Brian O’Neill (ankle), the Vikings also made right guard Ed Ingram (shoulder) inactive ahead of Sunday’s games against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
That meant the Vikings were without a pair of starters on the offensive line in a game they had to win.
The replacements up front included backup right tackle David Quessenberry starting in place of O’Neill and backup right guard Blake Brandel starting in place of Ingram. The rest of the offensive line remained in tact with left tackle Christian Darrisaw, left guard Dalton Risner, and center Garrett Bradbury all good to go.
The other inactives for the Vikings included cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. (knee), cornerback Mekhi Blackmon (shoulder), safety Theo Jackson (toe), defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy (ankle), and quarterback Jaren Hall, who was only allowed to enter the game for emergency purposes.
