Cleveland Browns’ attention is turning to the off-season after a disappointing end to the 2024 season.
Despite all of the injuries that the Browns went through, it was a success for them to get to the playoffs. How they exited the playoffs is a tough pill to swallow.
The NFL playoffs still have to play out the rest of the way before we turn our attention to the new league year. With the new league year, comes free agency and the NFL Draft.
A strong misconception is out there that the Browns are in a bad place with draft ammunition because of the Deshaun Watson trade. Cleveland is in fact in a good spot, they’ll give up one more first-round pick in April, and then the compensation is fulfilled.
Browns draft selections in the 2024 NFL Draft
- Round 2
- Round 3
- Round 5
- Round 5 – via Panthers from Baker Mayfield trade
- Round 6 – via Ravens from the 2023 NFL draft trade

Cleveland doesn’t have a first for the last year, due to the trade with the Texans as mentioned. They won’t have a fourth-round pick either, but they’ve helped themselves by gaining other picks.
There will be an extra pick made by the Browns in the fifth, sixth, and seventh rounds. That is if the Browns do not trade any of the picks, something that Andrew Berry is not shy about doing.
Draft season will be here in full very soon, the college football season is wrapped up and the NFL is soon to follow. It’ll be interesting to see what the Browns can cook up with their eight selections.
