The Houston Texans are making the case they’re the only team in Texas that’s going all-in for the upcoming season. On Sunday, they signed another offensive weapon for the 2024 season.
The Houston Texans are going all-in
The team made several big moves in free agency, like signing pass rusher Danielle Hunter, to become a threat to the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC crown. Their trade with the Buffalo Bills for Stefon Diggs will add firepower for second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Dare Ogunbowale re-signs with the Texans
The Texans added star running back Joe Mixon via a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals. Mixon is expected to be the lead back for the Texans. Per Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Texans took care of solidifying their third-down running back position. They re-signed Dare Ogunbowale on a one-year deal.
Ogunbowale had eight rushing attempts for 35 yards last season. He was featured more prominently in the 2022 season when he earned 42 rushes for 123 yards and a touchdown.
