Don’t let anyone fool you, size matters.
At least for the Carolina Panthers.
Harrison Mevis, also known as the ‘Thiccer Kicker,” has signed a multi-year deal with the Panthers ahead of the minicamp portion of the offseason, according to The Athletic.
Panthers are signing undrafted Missouri K Harrison “the Thicker Kicker” Mevis to a multi-year deal, league source confirms.

Mevis, out of Missouri, landed the deal because of his talent. He is the school’s all-time scoring leader and he nailed 78 percent of his field goal attempts.
The biggest moment of his career came during the 2023 season when he landed a 61-yard field goal to beat Kansas State. It was a Southeastern Conference record.
Carolina doesn’t necessarily need a kicker, however. The Panthers already have Eddy Pineiro, who has been steady through the previous two seasons.
Maybe Carolina merely wanted a kicking battle throughout the offseason. Either way, the Panthers definitely landed one of the thickest kickers in the undrafted free-agent pool.
