Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs took the NFL by storm earlier this season after leading the Minnesota Vikings to two straight wins upon his arrival to the Twin Cities at the NFL trade deadline.
Dobbs, however, hasn’t started a game for Minnesota since getting benched against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14.
The Vikings lost Dobbs’ starts against the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears before their 3-0 win against the Raiders.
Veteran Nick Mullens led the Vikings to their only points against the Raiders. He then started the next two games for Minnesota. But after a poor performance against the Detroit Lions this past weekend, it sounds like he could be heading back to the bench.
Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said on Tuesday that Mullen, Dobbs, and rookie Jaren Hall will all be considered this week to start against the Green Bay Packers.
O’Connell said the Vikings will consider all 3 QBs on their roster — Nick Mullens, Jaren Hall and Josh Dobbs — as possible starters. "All three of those guys are worthy of being involved in that discussion. We'll make the best decision in the interest of winning games."

O’Connell added that Minnesota likely needs to pick a starter before Wednesday’s practice.
The Vikings are 7-8 but they’re still very much in the mix for a playoff spot, sitting a game out of a wild card spot.
Dobbs has provided a spark once before for the Vikings, perhaps he could again this weekend.
