The Bengals’ 2024 draft class is complete.
With their final pick in the 2024 NFL Draft (237th overall), the Cincinnati Bengals selected Miami Hurricanes center Matt Lee.
The 6-foot-4, 301-pounder began his college career at UCF, where he stayed four years before making his way to Coral Gables. Last season, he started 12 games at center and earned a 79.0 Pro Football Focus grade. In 434 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just three hurries, one hit, and no sacks. He hasn’t allowed a sack since the 2021 season.
The consensus big board had Lee ranked 230th overall, so right on line with this spot.
Finally, the Bengals drafted an interior offensive lineman, which was far and away the biggest need at this point, given there’s no real depth behind Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, or Cordell Volson, while the latter hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire in the pros. And this also gives the Bengals some security behind the 31-year-old Karras, who is entering the final year of his contract.
