Retired Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem is not a fan of Boston Celtics legends Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce
The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics rivalry is one of the most thrilling in recent memory.
In the past two decades, these teams have faced off in a multitude of exciting postseason matchups.
On the second episode of Heat legends Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller’s podcast ‘The OGs’, the long-time Heat forward had a lot to say about the Celtics organization.
“It’s a different era. My era, we used to hate the (expletive) that we used to have to go against. In the rivalries and all that (expletive), to this day, y’all know how I feel when we gotta play the Celtics,” Haslem said. “I can’t stand the (expletive), and I like [Jayson] Tatum. I like [Jaylen] Brown, them old (expletive) KG, and Paul [Pierce]. I don’t (expletive) with y’all. Y’all know that it’s cool. I’m cool on that (expletive).”
Haslem faced Boston numerous times in the postseason during the Big Three era in Miami. He has a 7-8 record against Pierce in the postseason, while he is 7-7 against Garnett.
“The young generation, y’all, can create your own beef. The old (expletive) y’all already know if I see y’all in the grocery store, it’s on; it can be aisle 7/11 around the cheese dip, all of that (expletive) getting flipped over,” Haslem stated. “That’s just how I feel, and they understand that. I told them that, like, they know that I don’t (expletive) with them people.”
