While losing quarterback Joe Burrow midseason didn\u2019t help their playoff chances, the defense\u2019s performance last season killed any hopes they had of returning to the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<div id=\"yb_recirc_container_mobile\" class=\"\">\n<div class=\"aditude_inline_container\">\n<div id=\"aditude_ad_article_inline_1\" class=\"aditude_div\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Dax Hill is set to move to cornerback<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ac_85493874\" class=\"article_chunk type_50\">\n<div class=\"froala-view custom-theme \">\n<p>One player the Bengals drafted in 2022 hasn\u2019t lived up to his pre-draft hype for the secondary. According to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer, T\\the Bengals are plotting to move\u00a0Dax Hill to cornerback\u00a0for the upcoming season:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>After an up and down season in 2023, the Bengals spent the offseason trying to figure out the best place for Hill to play. They settled on cornerback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve seen it from him and we think it\u2019s the best opportunity right now to help our team,\u201d Taylor said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Hill has struggled at safety the previous two years<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ac_85493876\" class=\"article_chunk type_50\">\n<div class=\"froala-view custom-theme \">\n<p>The Bengals drafted Hill as a safety with the No. 31 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Michigan standout has struggled in Cincinnati. According to Pro Football Focus, Hill has posted an overall grade of\u00a058.1\u00a0in 2022 and 50.9 in 2023.<\/p>\n<div class=\"aditude_inline_container\">\n<div id=\"aditude_article_inline_2\" class=\"aditude_div\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hill earned a coverage grade of 43.0 for the 2023 season when he gave up 32 receptions on 45 targets. He was credited with giving up four touchdowns. He created two interceptions and forced six pass breakups.<\/p>\n<p>Those aren\u2019t the type of stats the Bengals were expecting from their first-round selection.
