It was a Southeastern Conference record.<\/p>\n<p>Carolina doesn&#8217;t necessarily need a kicker, however. The Panthers already have Eddy Pineiro, who has been steady through the previous two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe Carolina merely wanted a kicking battle throughout the offseason.
