His speed allowed him to flow effortlessly from sideline to sideline, but it was his coverage ability that really set him apart from the other linebackers in the league.<\/p>\n<div id=\"yb_recirc_container_mobile\" class=\"\">\n<div class=\"aditude_inline_container\">\n<div id=\"aditude_ad_article_inline_1\" class=\"aditude_div\" data-google-query-id=\"CI24z6iu8IUDFeBfDwIdIFwEZg\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/63317524\/yardbarker\/articles\/article_dynamic_1_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Over his first two seasons, Deion Jones had 21 passes defended and six interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He was a primary reason for the Falcons defensive turnaround, which saw them become a top 10 unit in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually, Jones would go on to sign a lucrative four-year contract extension ahead of the 2019 season when he was just 24-years-old. The expectation was that he would be the captain of the Falcons defense for years to come, but his play really fell off a cliff once he signed the extension, and in 2022, they dealt him to the Cleveland Browns for a late round pick swap.<\/p>\n<p>Since leaving Atlanta, Deion Jones hasn\u2019t had much success.
